EPDM rubber hoses are flexible, tubular products made from ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) rubber as the primary raw material through processes such as extrusion and vulcanization. They are widely used in industries, automotive, construction, and other fields. Their key advantages lie in their outstanding weather resistance, corrosion resistance, and ability to withstand both high and low temperatures.
Core Features
Outstanding weather resistance: It can withstand long-term exposure to natural elements such as ultraviolet radiation, ozone, wind, and rain without significant degradation, exhibiting a slow aging rate and offering an outdoor service life of 5 to 10 years—far superior to that of conventional rubber hoses.
Wide temperature resistance range: The normal operating temperature range is from -40℃ to 150℃; some specially formulated products can withstand temperatures from -50℃ to 180℃, making them suitable for extreme high- and low-temperature conditions.
High chemical stability: It exhibits excellent resistance to water, steam, weak acids (such as dilute sulfuric acid), weak bases (such as sodium hydroxide solutions), and most polar solvents (such as ethylene glycol). However, it is not suitable for use with strong oil-based media (such as gasoline or diesel).
Good elasticity and resilience: Even after prolonged use, it retains excellent elasticity and is unlikely to crack under bending or compression. It also exhibits outstanding resistance to permanent compression deformation.
